Dorothy Stang Popular Education Adult High School is the only bilingual high school completion program serving Latino adults, ages 25 or older, in the Midwest.

The school was founded in 2003 and flourished under the sponsorship of Centro San Bonifacio and Notre Dame High School for Girls.  In 2009, the school moved to Aspira Inc. of Illinois where it is currently housed.

The school is named after Sr. Dorothy “Dot” Stang, a Sister of Notre Dame de Namur of the Ohio province, who struggled for ecological and social justice in Brazil alongside those whose voices are rarely heard.  Read more about Sr. Dorothy Stang.
